Up early and walked to Lumpini Park, largest city park in Bangkok. Watched people at sunrise doing tai chi, yoga, and walking/jogging. We also saw large monitor lizards and feral cats.

Patty negotiated with a driver and got a good deal to take us to one of the floating markets. A nice day for a one hour boat ride. Interesting people watching…snake charmers , vendors, monks , and boat drivers ..

The journey begins today. We’re happy to leave the cold behind and are now at the Detroit airport, waiting to board a 14 hour flight to Seoul, Korea then a connecting flight to Bangkok, Thailand. We are traveling with Roger and Sheila Nielson .

Great trip to the Baltic Capitals, St Petersburg, And Moscow, Russia

We arrived in Vilnius,  Lithuania and started a wonderful journey that included stops in Riga, Estonia and Tallinn, Latvia.  Then it was off to St Petersburg and Moscow Russia.

Off to Laos and Burma next week.  We enjoyed Cambodia and Vietnam 3 years ago and heard that Laos and Burma(Myanmar) were great places to visit, so hear we go.  We will depart Detroit , Tuesday, February 6, 2018.
